Then you might be a good fit for our in-depth “Technical Surgery Boot Camp” for motivated high-school and college students taught by a cardiothoracic, vascular, and general surgeon. This unique, cutting edge, one-of-a-kind 12-day program over 3 weeks will cover practical surgical technical skills in a way rarely, if ever, afforded to students. In the process, the basics of anatomy and physiology will be incorporated in practical and meaningful applications. The foundations of suturing and knot tying will then quickly be directly applied to simulated surgeries on the airway, gastrointestinal system, and vascular arenas. Each student will gain experience and practice with these and many other surgical techniques. The goal is for students to garner a wealth of practical knowledge which will be invaluable to their future careers as a surgeon, paramedic, nurse, OR tech, or any field of medicine they may choose.
