This 16-hour intensive primer is designed as the cornerstone for students pursuing medical careers. It provides hands-on training in surgical techniques rarely available at the student level, preparing participants to advance confidently into specialized fields. Students will integrate anatomy and physiology basics with real surgical applications, developing strong foundations in suturing and knot-tying. These skills will be rapidly applied in simulated surgeries on the trachea, stomach, esophagus, small and large intestine, gallbladder, and appendix. By the end of the course, students will have built a broad set of practical, career-shaping skills, invaluable for future roles as surgeons, paramedics, nurses, OR technicians, physician assistants, or other medical professionals. Fast-paced and intensive, this course is not for the faint of heart—but it is the first step toward a future in surgery.
