This 12-hour advanced training course builds on the foundations learned in Surgery 101, taking students deeper into the world of vascular surgery through high-precision, hands-on simulations. Students will master the Carrel Vascular Anastomosis technique — a Nobel Prize–winning procedure — and develop advanced vessel-handling skills through guided simulations including: - Aortic trauma & aneurysm repair - Arterio-venous access creation - Carotid endarterectomy - Central line & Swan-Ganz catheter placement - Patch angioplasty, thrombectomy, and more Schedule: - Fridays: 5:30–7:30 PM - Saturdays: 3:00–5:00 PM The course emphasizes real-world surgical teamwork: students take on surgeon and assistant roles, learning how to communicate, coordinate, and maintain composure during complex procedures.
