This instructional program for Robotics introduces students to Arduino programming as well as problem solving strategies. This course will involve students in the development of Arduino code for practical applications turning code into mechanical movement as well as reading sensors to control the outcome of events. Students will work hands-on to design, program and document their progress. Topics may include: (they have fun while learning) - motor control - gear ratios - torque - friction - sensors - decision-making - locomotive systems - mechanical engineering The objective of this course is to use a hands-on approach to introduce the basic concepts in robotics, focusing on mobile robots and illustrations of current state of the art research and applications. This will enable students to innovate, design and build their own ideas and hold those ideas in the palm of their hands..
