    No experience needed! Python is the gateway coding language to Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. This class is a great first step for beginner students in Computer Science. The goal of this course is to give students a comfortable introduction to coding and give them the confidence to learn more in future classes. Python is used extensively in most industries and is the standard language for Artificial Intelligence. We recommend this class to all STEM majors! In this introductory Python Computer Science Skills course, students will gain hands-on experience writing and executing Python programs. The class is designed to teach Python coding and computer science skills in a relatively small class setting in order to offer students the support they need to fully understand concepts that may elude them in a larger classroom setting. HIGHLY recommended in place of taking CS courses at your school. Students Will: - Learn Python coding basics - executing code that controls microprocessers which are frequently used in robotics and research laboratories - Learn essential skills needed for our more advanced Python classes This course teaches the foundations of computer science and basic programming, with an emphasis on helping students develop logical thinking and problem solving skills. Each unit ends with a comprehensive unit test that assesses student's mastery of the material from that unit. This is the perfect place to start learning Python!     This is a 10 unit elective course. MEETING SCHEDULE: Wed 4:30-5:30pm Sat 11am -12pm Students must bring their laptop computer (not tablet). No classes on holidays
