Ages 10-18 This is an exciting, fun, and hugely educational course not available at other schools. Note to parents who are engineers: This is an an excellent starting point to ensure they have the basis upon which to move forward. This instructional program for Robotics introduces students to Arduino programming (coding) as well as problem solving strategies. This course will involve students in the development of Arduino code for practical applications turning code into mechanical movement as well as reading sensors to control the outcome of events. Students will work hands-on to design, program and document their progress. Topics may include: (they have fun while learning) - motor control - gear ratios - torque - friction - sensors - decision-making - locomotive systems - mechanical engineering The objective of this course is to use a hands-on approach to introduce the basic concepts in robotics, focusing on mobile robots and illustrations of current state of the art research and applications. IMPORTANT NOTES: ================== 1. If there is sufficient interest PVNet offer an add-on course to teach 3D Cad design using Fusion 360 & 3D printing. This will enable students to innovate, design and build their own ideas and hold those ideas in the palm of their hands.. PVNet will print their 3D models at no charge to encourage innovation and experimentation. 2. Consider enrolling your child in our Arduino Certification Test Prep class so they are prepared to pass the online Arduino test and get that prestigious certificate. BENEFITS: ====================== - Learn to tell a robot what to do and how it works - Continue on in these types of classes and become the leader of your robotics team - Supercharge your college application - show off that you did this while in middle school! - Small class size = enhanced experience - Opportunities for professional development and improved job opportunities All Selections are final upon registration. No refunds or exchanges.
