This course is taught by acclaimed physicist, Derek Chau, who is passionate about understanding nature. WELCOME TO FINDING YOUR BIOMIMICRY PATH. As a student, this is your very special opportunity to find your place in advancing regenerative solutions. You can begin your journey by following many pathways to connect with nature and bring biomimicry into your life, and to the world. Your instructor will show how you can begin to reverse engineer nature, the oldest and wisest inventor, so that you gain skills needed to understand and eventually mimic amazing organic solutions which evolved over millennia. As you progress, and depending on your age and grade level, you may choose to explore nature’s strategies and learn how to apply them to problems. There are many resources and tools to help you learn from nature and discover biological inspiration. Through PV Net you may choose to enter the Biomimicry competition and compete in one of the following: - the Middle School National Division, or, - the High School National Division. Students who compete must work in Teams. To learn more about the Biomimicry Institute, visit their website at biomimicry.org. While you are on their website, view the 2nd place winning entry in the High School National competition created by PVNet alumni, - Baseem. - His entry is titled, "Bird Hive".
