Enjoy robotics? Enjoy aerospace? This is the class you really should take. You will enjoy getting a solid foundation that includes critical skills especially if you plan to join a robotics team, club, making your own robots or are interested in pursuing a Mechatronics (robotics) degree. You will learn the basics of making a robot, 3D CAD design which is important for learning how robot parts are created, some of which will be 3D printed and you'll learn about the electronics that make the robot work. Robotics requires a fundamental knowledge of programming such as Arduino which is an easy to learn language. Students will learn CAD design, to create test rigs, connect sensors, act on collected data and learn about electronics as necessary for working with these components. Whether you are a hobbyist or a young engineer you will find this a well-rounded starting point. Class size is purposely kept very small so everyone gets personal attention and support.
