    ATTENTION SPACE EXPLORATION VISIONARIES!

    Early registration is now open for PVNet’s 2027 SWFT competition program.

    Middle-school students will work in teams of 2–4 to develop and present innovative ideas for the national SWFT competition. Students may join a PVNet team or create their own team.

    Students will receive mentoring as they research, design, develop, and prepare their competition project while building skills in STEM, engineering, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

    Estimated Dates

    The official 2027 theme and schedule have not yet been announced. Based on prior years, PVNet estimates the program will run from late September 2026 through January 2027.

    This is an early registration for the PVNet class/program. Instructions for official SWFT registration will be provided when available.

    Cost

    The SWFT competition itself is free. PVNet requires a 100 participation fee to help offset the cost of facilities, instruction, mentoring, equipment, and support provided to participating students.
