    Note: there will be no class April 6th. Taught by a professional Editor/Producer, this course provides students with the opportunity to learn the basics of recording and producing their own original song. Students are allowed to collaborate with each other as well to produce a joint composition. Students will be taught recording and editing skills using professional software currently used in the music industry. These are skills students can continue to build onto over time. This is a skill that can be applied to creating music for games and video productions. Students are welcome to produce their own music during this class! This class and the professional software used are not offered in high school. The course is low cost, takes minimal time, uses industry standard programs and builds confidence. If your child is creative and like to create original music, then he/she will most certainly be interested in learning how professionals do it. Audio Editing and Music Production is immensely rewarding, so feed their interest by signing them up for this class! TOPICS INCLUDED: ================== How to use Ableton Live professional recording and mixing software. How to record yourself and others playing music. Techniques to record instruments and voices. Over-dubbing and mixing. Learning the ins and outs of professional audio hardware, mixers, and software. Use of high-quality microphones, audio interfaces, pre-amps, compressors, equalizers, and much more! This is a great way for aspiring musicians and music-lovers to gain knowledge about how start enjoying this creative process as do the biggest artists and producers across the globe.
